awesome. We set out to do new and fun things and I think we
accomplished those things. From fishing, to hiking, swimming, skating, and so many things in between. We discovered that we are an outdoors
family. Our favorite activities this
been swimming, hiking, and just plain being outside. When weather permits we are at the pool at least
3 days a week. The other days we go hiking or to the playground.
visit this summer is Grant Park Pool. It
is free from 12:30-4. There’s a kid pool
that goes up to 4 ½ feet. As a result of us going so much my daughter who was an ok swimmer became a
really good swimmer. My son who was a non-swimmer became an ok swimmer. They are now interested in being on a swim
team. Yes, I see college scholarships in our future.
before all the outdoor pools and spraygrounds close, let’s see what else we can discover.
time getting my kids to eat vegetables so I have had to get very creative. One way I get vegetables in them is hide them. I put them in food they really like i.e.:
smoothies, juicing, spaghetti, lasagna, macaroni and cheese (instead of pasta noodles
